Founded in 1922, the Springlake and Wildwood neighborhoods are situated in the southwestern portion of Buckhead to the east (Springlake) and the west (Wildwood) of Howell Mill Road between Collier Road and Peachtree Creek.
Developed on what was hallowed ground in the Civil War’s Battle for Atlanta, historical markers can be found at multiple locations denoting and describing key events.
Quite arguably two of Atlanta’s most convenient neighborhoods in which to live, Springlake and Wildwood offer easy access to shopping, restaurants, Piedmont Hospital, and Interstates 75 and 85.
Springlake and Wildwood offer a mix of original bungalow, ranch, and cottage-style homes (many of which have been renovated), as well as traditional-style new constructions.
Wildwood is home to 6.8-acre Beaverbrook Park, which features a playground, softball field, and creek. Just steps away on the other side of Howell Mill (adjacent to Springlake) is Atlanta Memorial Park, a favorite of families and runners alike. Bobby Jones Golf Course and Bitsy Grant Tennis Center are also a short walk away, just across Northside Drive.
A wonderful and understandably popular neighborhood for families, Springlake and Wildwood (two of the “Brandon” neighborhoods) are located in sought-after Morris Brandon Elementary School district, Sutton Middle School district, and North Atlanta High School district. Additionally, the neighborhoods are very close to the area’s best private schools.
